Functional Skills in ICT (Entry Level up to Level 3)
Functional Skills Information and Communication Technology (ICT) qualifications are a range of digital skills to suit learners at different levels, from getting started with a basic understanding of how to use a computer to developing skills to fulfill specific IT-based roles.
Our Entry 3 to Level 1 qualifications are designed to help learners get started with a basic understanding of how to use a computer, use software and get online safely.
The Community Need’s Level 2 Certificate in Digital Skills for Business focuses on the learner’s ability to further develop the digital skills required to participate in employment within a business setting.
Our Level 3 Certificate and Diploma in Technology Enhanced Learning qualifications aim to provide practical skills and underpinning knowledge required to fulfil a Learning Technologist type role.
These qualifications require no prior learning or experience.
At Entry Level the aims of these qualifications are to develop learner understanding and skills in:
- Checking ICT work area safety
- Using emails, folders, and passwords
- Developing spreadsheet data on Excel
- Developing a Word document
Functional Skills ICT Level 1 & Level 2 covers the following:
- Using emails and folders
- Finding information from the internet
- Developing spreadsheet data on Excel
- Developing a Word document or PowerPoint presentation
- Answering questions on general ICT knowledge
The skills learners acquire can be applied to different problem solving scenarios present in everyday life and the workplace.
