Become A Volunteering

Volunteers are vital to what we dc and enable us to reach more young people and to improve what we provide young people.

We are passionate about volunteers being able to take us to the next level in terms of delivering the best quality provisions for young people. If you can do this by affering your time and skills we will be pleased for you to apply!

On Session: We run various projects throughout the year including: football sessions, badminton, table tennis, rounders, benchball, dodgeball. We also deliver community learning including free basic ICT Each session offers Volunteers the chance to get involved in supporting a range of activities. Whether you are interested in arts and crafts, sports, reception worki helping young people with additional needs, performing arts, youth work or helping with specific projects, we can accommodate you! You can choose which age group you work with and you can support activities that are already running or create groups of your own.

Behind the Scenes If you are looking to volunteer but would prefer to not work directly with young people you can help out behind the scenes- We are always happy to
hear from people interested in helping out with admin, fundraising or event days. Our office is open whenever the centre is open which means we can be flexible when accommodating admin volunteers.
As you would expect we apply the same standards to the recruitment and selection of our volunteers as we do ta our full time colleagues. As a volunteer you will undertake a training session to make sure you are equipped for your role, confident and feel integrated into our team. You will also have the opportunity to undertake further ad hoc training. You will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check before being able to start in your role volunteering.
As a one-off volunteer, you will be accompanied by staff at all times; and so will not need to undertake full training or a DBS check at an enhanced level- If this becomes a regular commitment we will ask you to partake in our full volunteer process.
